2023 ANOTHER YEAR TO SERVE JEHOVAH

God’s grace has shinned on me once again bringing me to again a new year. I am graceful and happy to see 2023 stepping into existence. And New Year’s looks good to me. I observed 2023 come on the scene New Year’s Eve, and I was excited to see that beautiful number that said 2023. It was leaving the old behind and looking to the new, It was a chance to start over in a difference season and that was bringing sparks of hope in my soul, hope that symbolized that God is truly good, and He has been good to me all of the past year, gracing me with His blessing in my life. He kept me from all harm. He provided all my needs. He encouraged me when I was disappointed. He visited me when I was lonely. He healed my broken heart, spirit, and confused mind. He also healed this temporary body that house my soul until Jesus returns for it. Praise the Lord! Just let me Praise my Lord! “I will praise the Lord according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high.” There is nothing better that I “Love” to do. So therefore when 2023 was ushered in, I was in a joyful way praising God down on my knees. The pastor had the church on their knees praying at the alter on New Year Sunday, he told the church what better way to bring in the New Year than on your knees. I agree to that.

I am rejoicing for the chance to be led by the Holy Spirit into a deeper knowledge, truth, and spiritual awaking of who God is, what He expects of me as a disciple of Jesus Christ. How to follow Jesus and be His servant here in the now. God want to use my hand, my feet, my spirit, soul, and body and the joy of my heart to complete His kingdom work in the world today. So I rejoice in expectation of 2023 for the goodness of the Lord in the land.

“I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God;

For He has clothed me with the garments of salvation,

He has covered me with the robe of righteousness,

As a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments,

As a bridge adorns herself with her jewels”. (Isaiah 61:10)

Christians speak of praising God all of the time when we worship and in private conversation as Christians speak about the glory of God. In the Bible we can read how God commands all living creatures to praise the Lord. (Psalm 150:6) “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord”!

  • One of the Hebrew word for “praise” is Yadah, which means praise, give thanks, or confess.
  • A second word for “praise” in the Old Testament is Zamar, which means “sing praise”.
  • A third word for “praise” is halal (the root of hallelujah), which means to praise, honor, or commend”.
  • NOTE: All three of these praise words gives the idea of giving thanks and honor to the God, who is worthy of praise

So, I propose a challenge to All who love God, who is thankful to see 2023 a year to start again with strong convictions to serve God better. And you who want to have a stronger kingdom conviction and to be the hands of God, I want to encourage you to seek praise first. And then with prayer, and then with praise and worship to make 2023 a great spiritual breakthrough for the church. Dive into the Bible and seek God earnestly with the heart as you study His Holy Word, to learn and gain knowledge of God’s plan for the world, and why He chose us for His kingdom purpose. Jesus came preaching the “will” of God, some people answered His call and some did not. Today there is still the saved and unsaved, the one’s who answered the call, and the one’s who have not answered God call to them. Today is the day to answer, it is not too late if you are still breathing. Before the foundation of the world, even before time was God chose us as His people, and He to be our God. “Who has saved us and called us with a Holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began” (2 Timothy1:9)

2023 is a chance to be a better Kingdom Builder for God. Here is an opportunity to serve God more faithfully in working to bring sinners to salvation in Jesus Christ.

“Your kingdom come. Your will be done. On earth as it is in heaven”. (Matthew 6:10)

“Not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven”. (Matthew 7:21)

Psalms 117: 1-2

GOD INHABIT THE PRAISE OF HIS PEOPLE!

PRAISE the LORD, all you Gentiles!

Laud Him, all you people!

For His merciful kindness is great toward us,

And the truth of the LORD endures forever.

Praise the Lord!
