JEWELS FOR THE SOUL

John 1:1-5

1. IN THE beginning, was the word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

2. He was with God in the beginning.

3. Through him all things were made; without him, nothing was made that has been made.

4. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.

5. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

In the beginning, was Jesus, and Jesus was with God, and Jesus was God.  Jesus was with God in the beginning.  Through Jesus all things were made; without Jesus, nothing was made that has been made.  Jesus was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.  (Psalms 36:9) says “For with thee is the fountain of life:  in thy light shall we see light”.

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.  Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.  And God said, “Let there be light”, and there was light.  God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.  God called the light “day” and darkness he called “night”.  And there was evening, and there was morning ____ the first day.

The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.  By the Word, God spoke everything into existence.  “God said, let there be light, and there was light, and God saw the light, that it was Good:”  Everything that God created, he said, It is good.  God spoke the Word and it went forth with power, creating a world that only a mighty and Holy God would give to mankind, for He created a man for His glory, in His own image.  God gave man dominion over the world.  He gave Moses the privilege of naming all the animals that were on the ark after the flood fall of mankind.

The Word became Flesh and came down from heaven to earth.  The Word walked among man, he spoke what thus said God, for it was in the womb of a Virgin that Jesus was born into the world.  Jewels of Nuggets “The grass withered, the flower fadeth but the Word of our God shall stand forever”.

30.  “And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favor with God.

31.  “And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.

Jesus, The Only Begotten Son of God was sent from heaven to earth to save guilty man from his sins who was on his way to hell, without a Savior.  Jesus was The Lamb of God who was righteous and sinless took man sins upon him at the cross. ” For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

John 1:4

“In him was life, and the life was the light of men”.

Jesus was the light sent to bare witness to darkness.  “The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined”.

There are people walking in darkness today, right now in the world.  They are in the world with no relationship with God. They are in a world walking with no God in their life,  in the shadow of death, with a heart turned from God.  Come to Jesus, and make Him your Lord, for the Father and Son are One.  Jesus is the light of the world, all thing will be revealed to you by the Holy Spirit, for the truth will set you free.  The Holy Spirit is the witness of what is true.  Jesus said if you have seen me, you have seen the Father.  Mankind needs a savior.  When man Believe that Jesus is the Son of God,  Believe he died on the cross,  Believe God raised him up from the dead,  Accept Jesus into his heart, Confess that he is a sinner and repent of all his sins, and choose to walk righteously before God, then and only then will man have a mind to know God.

John 10:30  “I and my Father are one”.

John 8:12  “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life”.

John 16:13  “How be it when he, the Spirit of Truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but what so ever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come”.

Jewels of Nuggets “The Holy Spirit will guide, teach and show you all thing that is true, and all that He speaks will be of the Father, for no man can come unto the Father, but by Jesus Christ.”
